ScreenIngénieurs du Monde has adopted a mission to encourage the development of professions, activities, formation structures, engineers/technicians organizations of all sectors of technology, and strives to enable developping countries and regions to profit from the advantages provided by technology transfers. Although Ingénieurs du Monde’s

audience has been growing, it remains faithful to the initial vision of it’s founders «to contribute to the well-being and the development of mankind, by the access to knowledge, know-how and technologies».

Ingénieurs du Monde has often written specific development programs within the framework of those set by the big International Organizations such as health, education, agriculture, trade and small industry. The ONG wishes to remain faithful to the following principles:

  • to initiate long-lasting development projects
  • to encourage projects driven by individuals or groups directly implicated that realistically correspond to local or regional culture and the social, technical and economic environment
  • to work intelligently with international bodies and with local political authorities, but also to ensure that the usage of resources is limited to those of the projects’ objectives
  • to associate local actors from the start of any project, and to assure the transfer and self-sustainability of the initiated programs
  • to guarantee strict management of resources while ensuring adequate information to the corresponding financing organisations.
